Promptness is a virtue too, and if everyone were prompt, they wouldn't have needed to invent patience in the first place. Patience is a virtue designed for the express purpose of coping with others' lack of virtue. Therefore it is a lesser virtue.

Here in the Safety Carrot Dot Com production bunker, we are wondering whether virtues are really all they're cracked up to be.

On the bright side, Safety's spectacular lack of promptness is allowing us to watch a lot of television, including tonight's big Oscar show.
